I met William Brock last year when he asked me to be part of a book called The Word! This wonderful coffee table book will feature portraits 75 cancer survivors (or maybe more, if he can’t stop shooting;) and the word that defines their journey. The book will come out in September and I can’t wait to show you the result!!
This being said, William is also a cancer survivor, and since he found out he had Acute Myeloid leukemia in 2004 (the same cancer his dad died from in 1997), he’s been working hard to raise money and awareness to find a cure to this deadly disease… whether it’s by publishing books, cycling or running for life! In the past years, he was able to raise 40k and 60k for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and this year, his goal was to reach 80k… but he’s already at 100k!! So his new goal is to raise 150k, and if we help him, I think he can do it! You can make a donation to his running team right here!
Every year, he also organizes a gala event, where I was invited to this week. My mission was to spot the best dressed ladies of the night and to give out wonderful prizes to the top looks. One fashion session with the stylists of Boutique la Petite Robe Noire including a dress rental dress & a $250 gift certificate at Chloé Médico-Esthétique… Here are the 10 nominees…
