CriticsChoiceAwards-worst-Angelina-Jennifer

The biggest story last night at the Critic’s Choice Awards was definitely Angelina and Jennifer walking the same blue carpet…. and of course, who was going to have the best look.

If I’m forced to choose one, I would say Jennifer because it was a little more unexpected… but really, my answer is none of them! I thought Angie’s dress was dated and I hated the sleeves that looked even bigger in comparison to her tiny arms. As for Jen, the idea of a marsala tuxedo (without a bra) is cool, but the fit was awful… The hem of the pant needs to be shortened and the buttons of the jacket need to be higher! The only thing I liked was the body jewelry.

Oh yeah… they’re also both on my WORST DRESSED list of the night (number 4 & 5 actually). And here’s the rest of the contenders…

1- Andrea Riseborough in Escada

Last night, the actress made it very hard to look worst than her. What was she thinking?? Not only is that green horrible on her porcelain skin, but the actual suit… I don’t remember seeing pants that fit this bad in a long time!

2- Amy Adams in custom MaxMara

I think that reading the words « custom » made it worst for me! How can something made specifically for her body fit so bad and be so unoriginal? Hate the colour too.

3- Keira Knightley in Delpozo

After her bohemian disaster at the Golden Globes, Keira strikes again! And you know how we say « 3 strikes and you’re out »… well she needs to get  some maternity fashion cues before the Oscars! #justsaying

And now for my BEST DRESSED of the night!

1- Leslie Mann in Reem Acra

I love everything about this Reem Acra number… the length, the mix of textures and the subtle transparency! As for makeup and accessories… she killed it too! Really impressed by the shoes and the hologram clutch!

2- Michelle Monaghan in Elie Saab

I’m completely wowed by the vintage feeling of  this lace dress. I’m not sure I would’ve liked it that much on somebody else, but Michelle Monaghan really makes it works!

3- Julianne Moore in Saint Laurent

Julianne is having a killer award season, both on stage and on the red carpet! Once again, she shows us how to do sexy and elegant with this Saint Laurent gown.

4- Carmen Ejogo in Emilia Wickstead

I’m usually not crazy about choosing dresses that are too close to the skin’s colour, but I have to say I love this. Not only is the fit perfect, but I love those big pockets and the subtle shine of the material. Just dreamy!

5- Jamie Chung in Yanina Couture

I wish the dress was a tiny bit longer, but the print and the see-through effect really do it for me!

Before letting you go, I have to share my best men of the night…

Who’s your personal favourite… laid-back Jesse Williams or ultra-chic Eddie Redmayne?
