You know I cover mostly fashion when I attend fashion weeks, but after your numerous requests, I decided to concentrate a little more on beauty this season! And it was a good decision, because it allowed me to spend the whole week with the experts at Maybelline New York (and their amazing lead makeup artist, Grace Lee), who created the looks for the 28 shows presented this season.
Out of this impressive number, I chose my favourite four. I already featured Mackage & Rudsak… and here is VAWK, by Sunny Fong!
At VAWK this season, the girls were put together and oh sooo chic! To achieve this look, Grace Lee used a very simple tool in a very interesting spot… she applied the Shine Sensational Lip Gloss (in Minty Sheer) on the lids, to create a glossy eye (2). The textured effect was especially pretty every time the models closed their eyes. With such an understated eyelid, the brows and lashes had to be stronger! That’s why Maybelline’s lead artist groomed and brushed the brow with the Master Shape Brow Pencil and the Great Lash Clear Mascara (4 & 6). The final touch is obtained with the Great Lash Big Eyes Mascara.
When it comes to skin, Sunny Fong also wanted a flawless and creamy skin. Once again, the products used were the Dream Fresh BB Cream Foundation combined with the Fit Me! Pressed Powder and, the Instant Age Rewind Eraser, which was one of Grace’s go-to products this season (7, 5 & 8).
Of course, the lips are the other focal point of this glamourous look… To get this perfect mouth, use the Color Sensational Vivids Lip Color (my favourite lipstick collection right now!) in On Fire Red and don’t forget to contour your lips with the Color Sensational Lip Liner in Red (1 & 9).
