As you might know by now… I just spent the whole of last week in Toronto for the Spring-Summer 2014 World MasterCard Fashion Week. And even though I never worked as much as this season (with Ruby-TFO and FashioNation.tv, a new Canadian fashion portal that I can’t wait to tell you about), I still took the time to do a few street styles… here are my favourites!
I have to start with supermodel Stacey Mackenzie… who belongs in my favourites every season. Not only does she change a few times a day (giving me lots of options) but she’s not afraid of anything when it comes to fashion. Here she’s wearing a Mark Fast jumper that NOBODY could have worn as well as her! Stacey just has the necessary edge to wear such a revealing piece!
Earlier during the week, Stacey wore a printed pyjama-inspired outfit with an Indian headpiece and bangles. As you can imagine, I was a little jealous of her jewellery (and her pic with über-cool model Erin Wasson).
Last but not least, Stacey also wore a fur cape that made quite an impression on me (she actually designed it herself)
Mel, 21. Student and blogger, Worldof4.com
I met Mel as I was filming a segment for Ruby-TFO, and I immediately loved her look that featured a tiny pair of shorts with a contrasting XXL knitted cardigan. I also love the statement necklace and the motorcycle gloves.
Sahar, 24. Market Editor S/Style & Fashion.
I met Sahar at the Holt Renfrew World MasterCard Fashion Week launch party and I had to snap her look that featured a pinstriped pant-dress by Markoo over a white shirt and classic red pumps. This is what I call perfectly mixing masculine & feminine!
Anik, 30 ans. Blogueuse, MontrealInStyle
My good friend Anik from MontrealInStyle came with me to Toronto and even though I could have posted all her looks, this one was clearly my favourite! On day 2 of fashion week, she wore a look by Melissa Nepton featuring a sheer palazzo pant and a multi-textured top. I love this outfit because the silhouette is really different and new.
Lily, 21. Student in Fashion Communication
Of course… it’s the veiled tuque that drew my attention on Lily, but I also love her draped asymmetrical skirt!
So what do you think of my street style round-up… Toronto edition? Have a favourite look?
