I’ve been a fan of H&M’s Conscious Exclusive since it was introduced 8 years ago, but I have to say that the 2019 collection is my favourite ever. Not only is it super pretty, springy and feminine, but it’s also edgy thanks to the bold prints and interesting silhouettes. On top of everything, the colour palette is beautiful!

But the main reason why I continue to love this collection is the values behind it. Now that we know how polluting the fashion industry really is, companies have no choice but to change the way they make garments. As one of the largest fast fashion brands in the world, H&M is at the core of the problem, but they also have the power to be a big part of the solution.

And I think they are putting great efforts into it, whether it’s through their mission to only use recycled or other sustainably sourced materials by 2030, the creation of the Global Change Awards or sustainable collections like this one. Conscious Exclusive is made with recycled polyester, organic cotton, organic linen, organic silk, TENCEL™ lyocell, recycled plastic, recycled glass, recycled silver, and a few innovative plant-based sustainable materials…

Another very exciting part of the latest Conscious Exclusive collection is definitely the introduction of new innovative and sustainable materials like Piñatex® (made from pineapple-leaf fibers -a bi-product of existing agriculture- and transformed into a wonderful alternative to leather), BLOOM™ Foam (a flexible foam made from algae biomass, where the manufacturing process helps clean and restore the environment) and Orange Fiber® (made of citrus peel from juice production and transformed into a sustainable high-quality fabric).

You can see how these new fabrics were used in the pictures below…

Before I let you go, here are my favourite pieces of the collection! Hopefully, I get to bring a few of them to the changing rooms tomorrow… and then home;)

The Conscious Exclusive 2019 collection will be available at the Peel/Sainte-Catherine flagship store as of 9am this morning & one hour later (10am) on hm.com. The prices range from 19,99$ to 249$.
