With all the Super Bowl madness going on, I thought FashionIsEverywhere should get involved… but how? What about looking back at the best (and worst) halftime fashion in the past 20 years. Here are my lists!
BEST FASHION
Michael Jackson, 1993 Super Bowl.
20 years later, no one can quite do it like the King of Pop!
Britney Spears, 2001 Super Bowl.
Britney had the best midriff in the business, and she was right to flaunt it. Plus I love the shrinker Aerosmith t-shirt and the football inspired pants.
Diana Ross, 1996 Super Bowl.
Diana Ross stuck to her diva ways for the 1996 Super Bowl. I love the mix of the orange and coral!
Fergie, 2011 Super Bowl.
I’m usually not a big fan of Fergie’s style, but for Super Bowl XLV, she perfectly integrated football elements into her look. Those blinged out shoulder pads are to die for!!
Madonna, 2012 Super Bowl.
Madonna seemed inspired by Michael Jackson’s black & gold look… and proved (if need be) that you can’t go wrong with Givenchy!
Beyonce, 2013 Super Bowl.
So finally… Beyonce did make my best dressed list with this outfit by Rubin Singer!
WORST FASHION
Janet Jackson, 2004 Super Bowl.
Even though she wore my favourite designer, Alexander McQueen, the « accidental » wardrobe malfunction killed the look!
Prince (aka The Symbol), 2004 Super Bowl.
I usually love Prince’s guts when it comes to fashion, but turquoise and mandarine… c’mon!
Gwen Stefani, 2003 Super Bowl.
I like the idea, but I hate the visible panties and bra!
The Judds, 1994 Super Bowl.
Please Wynonna and Naomi Judd… it’s the Super Bowl, not the Country Music Awards!
What do you think? Did I forget anyone?
