I hadn’t planned to cover the Critics’ Choice Awards red carpet this year… but just before heading to bed, I decided to find my look du jour and realized there was a lot of interesting fashion, maybe even more than at the Golden Globes! So I had to give you my top 5 of the night…
1- Rachel McAdams in Elie Saab
I love everything about this look… the perfectly tousled hair, the beautiful makeup and that stunning Elie Saab burgundy beaded dress. Flabbergasted!
2- Alicia Vikander in Mary Katrantzou
After the pretty Louis Vuitton dress from the Golden Globes, Alicia Vikander shows us that she can take a fashion risk… and pull it off with panache! This is exactly why she’s the it-girl of the moment…
3- Saoirse Ronan in Antonio Berardi
I absolutely love the colour and the silhouette of this Antonio Berardi column dress… and Saoirse wears it perfectly!
4- Emmy Rossum in Christian Dior
Emmy is always a hit on the red carpet, whether she gives us Carolina Herrera princess ball gown or Christian Dior minimalistic with a twist… just love the silver sequinned faux-lining!
5- Kristen Dunst in Chanel
I’m not crazy about the makeup (because I wish she had gone for a softer look), but I do love this Chanel 20’s inspired number… especially the frills and delicate beading!
