It’s been a while since I covered a red carpet… so I was pretty happy to see so many interesting looks at the American Music Awards this year! Here are my best and worst dressed!
BEST DRESSED
1- Jennifer Lopez in Reem Acra
At 45, Jennifer Lopez looked better than any 2o year-old in the room! WOW… that’s all I can say!
2- Kate Beckinsale in Kaufmann Franco
Sometimes, white can look too bridal, but this Kaufman Franco cut-out dress was perfection on Kate Beckinsale (who’s also over 40)!
3- Rita Ora in Zac Posen
Rita Ora was definitely the sunshine of the evening… Love the classic Zac Posen silhouette on her!
4- Zendaya Coleman in Georgina
I love Zendaya because she always takes risks… that pay off. Really like the idea of the wide pant with the matching trench-coat!
5- Kendall Jenner in Yigal Azrouel
The new face of Estee Lauder doesn’t always get it right, but this Yigal Azrouel was perfect for her body… and amazing legs!
6- Charlie XCX in Vivienne Westwood
Charlie XCX cleans up well! This Vivienne Westwood gown is simple, but the draping makes all the difference!
7- Jordin Sparks in Halston Heritage
Love the colour, love the neckline, love the high-slit… of this Studio 54 inspired dress!
8- Jessie J
Jessie J was one of the only women to wear pants last night… and, like Zendaya Coleman, it looked great! Love the double breasted jacket!
9- Fergie in Halston Heritage
Well… we can say it was a good night for Halston Heritage! I’m usually not a fan of Fergie’s style, but this is a home run (and I love the shoes too)!
10- Mary J Blige
I don’t remember the last time I thought Mary J Blige looked great, but we have to give it to her… this dress is stunning!
WORST DRESSED
1- Bleona Qereti
If you didn’t know the Albanian reality-tv star… you’re never going to forget her now! Seriously, getting naked is still the best way to get noticed?
2- Star Jones
Hasn’t she learned anything from the bike shorts Demi Moore wore at the 1989 Oscars? Like to never wear them anywhere else than on a bike…
3- Diana Ross
I really love Diana Ross and I feel so bad to criticize her… but she looks like the wackiest bird ever!
4- Selena Gomez in Armani Privé
Selena Gomez is way too young to wear such a severe dress! And is it just me or the dress doesn’t do anything for her breast?
5- Kylie Jenner in Alexandre Vauthier
This Alexandre Vauthier dress could be pretty if the fit wasn’t so awkward… The draping is a fail, the shoes are not right and can somebody please tell me why she’s wearing a watch?
And I HAVE to add Ariana Grande’s brother, Frankie, to the list…
Yes… it is a body painted shirt and bow-tie!
