GoldenGlobes15-bestof

After a quiet People’s Choice Awards, I was ready for real business at the always fun Golden Globe Awards. Here is my complete fashion recap! All the looks you need to see from last night are right here…

BEST DRESSED

1-Diane Kruger en Emilia Wickstead

Diane Kruger was her usual PERFECT self last night in this Emilia Wickstead silver gown that fit her amazingly. What more can we ask for?

2- Dakota Johnson en Chanel Couture

Silver was definitely THE trend last night and here’s another proof with this simple, yet stunning Chanel dress. I just love the high slit!

3- Jessica Chastain en Atelier Versace

If someone doesn’t dream of owning a bronze dress after seeing Jessica Chastain in this Versace number… I don’t know what else you need!

4- Julianne Moore en Givenchy Couture

We say 3rd time’s a charm… here’s my 3rd silver dress (that would’ve been number 1 if the fit was better). One thing’s for sure… those feathers are to die for!

5- Naomi Watts en Gucci Premiere

Colour was not that huge last night (compared to metallics and bling), but Naomi Watts definitely killed it in this yellow Gucci column gown. And what about that Bulgari snake diamond necklace?

SPECIAL MENTION to Emma Stone

I always love Emma Stone’s red carpet choices and it was also the case last night with this great Lanvin jumpsuit. I love the embroidered bustier, I adore the side train and her hair + makeup are flawless… but I had a little problem with the cut of the pants. Which is why she comes sixth.

BEST MEN

I had to at least give you a little bit of male fashion… Here is my top 3:

Common in Prada, Jared Leto and Eddie Redmayne in Burberry

BEST TREND: Embroideries

Even though they didn’t make the top list, these ladies looked great in their lovely embroidered dresses!

Jennifer Lopez & Chrissy Teigen in Zuhair Murad and Felicity Huffman.

BEST TREND: Ball gowns

I usually hate ball gowns on the red carpet because I think they’re too princessy… but I have to say Allison Williams (in Armani Privé), Alisson Tolman and Taylor Schilling (in Ralph Lauren custom) all looked amazing!

BEST COLOUR: Yellow

You already know that Naomi Watts was part of my best looks of the night… but she wasn’t the only one to shine in the summery colour, Leslie Mann (in Kaufman Franco) and Jenna Dewan (in Carolina Herrera) also looked great!

AND OUR FIE THUMBS UP…

Most original: Claire Danes in Valentino Couture

At first I wasn’t crazy about the Valentino gown, but then I realized that the dress was all made of tiny coloured feathers… and I changed my mind. Plus, those earrings are just perfect!

Best texture: Lupita Nyong’o in Giambattista Valli Couture

How can we be insensitive to the blooming bustier? Lupita, you did it again!

Best hair-clothes coordination: Zosia Mamet in Andrew GN

This is another look I didn’t like at first glance, and even though I’m not crazy about the cut of the skirt or the shape of the bustier… I absolutely adore the faded pastel colours (including her hair)!

WORST DRESSED

1- Tiziana Rocca

I have no clue who she is, but I’ll never forget this disaster of a dress, that’s not only wrinkled (probably ’cause she hadn’t taken it out since 1983), but completely bipolar!

2- Rosamund Pike in Vera Wang

I know, she’s just had a baby and I should be nicer… but how can Vera Wang let her leave her atelier with this dress that barely seems to be hanging on… She could have at least worn a necklace or something!

3- Lena Dunham in Zac Posen

Seriously? I don’t know what to say… other than: haven’t you learned anything from last season’s Golden Globes?

4- Lana Del Rey in vintage

If you love vintage, Lana, come shop at MyWalk.in… There are a few way more interesting pieces!

5- Tina Fey in Antonio Berardi

The top part, I don’t mind (that much), but the balloon skirt?? She looks like a bad copy of a Fabergé egg… with shoes!

WORST TREND: Bohemian

I have nothing against bohemian dresses… but at a Sunday chic outside brunch… not at the Golden Globes!!

WORST TREND:  Safe choices

I can’t say anything ’cause I’m yawning…

WORST COLOUR: Red

Red really didn’t have a good night last night! After Lena Dunham’s disaster… here are 3 other proofs that you shouldn’t compete with the carpet!

AND OUR FIE THUMBS DOWN…

Most at risk of a nip slip: Kate Hudson in Atelier Versace

Kate Hudson has a stunning body and a beautiful décolleté, but I’m really getting tired of the plunging necklines (and Versace dresses in general)

GoldenGlobes15-worst-decollete-KateHudson

Worst cropped top: Robin Wright in Ralph Lauren

Robin, either it’s cropped or it’s not… Please write it down!

Worst disappointment: Amal Clooney in Christian Dior Couture

Okay, I know I’m going to get a lot of comments on this one… But someone has to say it! Everybody is so in awe of Amal Clooney (and I am too), so she could’ve walked the red carpet in a bag of potatoes and everybody would’ve been screaming: « I’m obsessssed »… That’s exactly what we heard about the white gloves… but c’mon, they  look so wrong with this dress (which is, by the way, too big for her). The only thing I liked was the « Je suis Charlie » customized clutch…

I really want to know your thoughts… especially about those white gloves!
