My coverage of award season continues with the 2014 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, held this Saturday, January 18th. Let’s do this!
BEST DRESSED
1- Amy Adams in Antonio Berardi
Amy Adams completely took my breath away with this cobalt Antonio Berardi dress. I love everything about this look: the original neckline, the high slit, the thin gold belt… not to mention the flawless hair and makeup. WOW!
2- Lupita Nyong’o in Gucci
Lupita Nyong’o continues her perfect fashion streak with this turquoise column gown by Gucci. Not only is the colour stunning on her, but the flower neckline is a true masterpiece!
3- Maria Menounos in Rani Zakhem
I love the powder blush colour, but it’s the bodice that really strikes me… I love how it’s both perfectly structured and so delicate!
4- Cate Blanchett in Givenchy
No one wears Givenchy better than Cate… and she proves it again with this pale pink draped gown! Perfectly effortless.
5- Malin Akerman in Naeem Khan
How do you pull off a very busy tribal dress on the red carpet? By keeping the hair, makeup and accessories minimal! We’re taking notes Malin Akerman!
And all the other GOOD dresses…

Best Male: Jared Leto in Christian Dior
I might be a tad too influenced by the long hair, but Jared Leto sure knows how to look cool in a tuxedo. 20 years after My So Called Life, I’m in love again!
Best Couple: Matthew Mcconaughey and Camila Alves
He looks sharp in Dolce & Gabbana, she looks stunning in Donna Karan Atelier. Together they were def’ the most stylish couple on the red carpet!
Best Trend: Deep blue
Whether it was Anna Gunn in Monique Lhuillier, Mindy Kaling in David Meister, Jennifer Garner in Max Mara or Kelly Osbourne in Zac Posen, blue sure looked good in every shade or shape!
Ok! Let’s discuss…
I have to say I was kind of troubled by Kerry Washington’s look. I’m already not a fan of a cropped top for an award ceremony… but when you’re pregnant? Should we applaud her for daring or ask her never to do it again?
Worst Trend: Black & gold
There was something really dated (obviously, I’m not talking about the ladies’ age) and tacky about the black & gold combination at the SAG Awards. Just didn’t like it.
WORST DRESSED
1- Rose Leslie in Temperley London
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always been a fan of mixing prints and textures, but they actually have to mix well… not compete with each other for worst piece of the outfit!
2- Mariah Carey in Saint Laurent
You can always count on Mariah to make a designer dress look cheap! And the accessorizing is terrible… fishnets and cut-out leather gloves, really?
3- Mayim Bialik
I guess I’m not the only one who hates this lace & lavender disaster… look at the face of the girl behind her!
4- Juliette Lewis in Vivienne Westwood
I don’t know what I dislike the most: the « wallpapery » floral print or the « costumey » hairdo?
5- Emma Thompson in Williams vintage
I know, I know… Emma Thompson is cool and fun, but she’s also a bit whacky when it comes to fashion. And I’m not referring to the flats (those are fine), my problem is the bottom of the dress that reminds me of how curtains go up before a play.
And all the other BAD dresses…

Don’t hesitate to let me know if I forgot somebody!
