The People’s Choice Awards and the Critics Choice Awards launched red carpet season last week, but this is the one I wait for every year! I love the Golden Globes because the mood is more laid back than the Oscars, and often the fashion choices are more interesting! Enough talking… here are my best and worst of the evening!

You can also see my round-up of the biggest trends of the night right here!

BEST DRESSED

1. Amy Adams in Marchesa

WOW! Amy Adams looks absolutely stunning in this mermaid gown by Marchesa. I especially love that the colour of the dress is almost exactly the same shade as her skin. So sexy!

2. Jessica Chastain in Calvin Klein Collection

Pastel was a big trend at the Golden Globes last night, but no one did it as well as Jessica Chastain. Not only is this foam green perfect on her, but the plunging neckline and open back are a pure delight!

3. Jennifer Lawrence in Christian Dior

After her fashion disaster at the People’s Choice Awards, Jennifer Lawrence came back in full force with this classic Christian Dior ball gown « with a twist » (the twist being the cut of the bustier and the metallic belt).

4. Jodie Foster in Giorgio Armani

First of all, can you believe Jodie Foster is 50!! Not only did the actress steal the show with her lifetime achievement award acceptance speech, but her choice of this fully sequinned Giorgio Armani halter dress couldn’t have been more perfect. Well done!

5. Barbara Palvin in Chanel Couture

The model that supposedly drove Justin Bieber crazy at The Victoria’s Secret show seems to have a very good sense of fashion! I love her pink textured Chanel Couture dress worn with a silver belt.

SPECIAL MENTIONS

Carla Gugino looks exotic and über-glamourous in this Indian inspired gown by Rami Ali Ali.

Michelle Dockery looks as stunning as her Downton Abbey character in this Alexandre Vauthier dress!

WORST DRESSED

1. Debra Messing in Donna Karan

Debra Messing is a… mess in this Donna Karan curtain-inspired dress that does nothing for her figure. Aye!

2. Alyssa Milano

I hadn’t seen Alyssa Milano in a very long time, and unfortunately she completely misses her red-carpet comeback with this awful silk dress that could use some steaming… and quite a bit of hemming!

4. Lucy Liu in Oscar de la Renta

I usually love flower prints, but this 3D bouquet just looks like it’s going to attack you. Scary!

 4. Halle Berry in Versace

Halle Berry has an amazing body and gorgeous legs, but why showcase them in this dress that might work in Ibiza, but not at the Golden Globes. And is it just me or the print is really ugly?

5. Nicole Kidman in Alexander McQueen

I know that some of you won’t agree with me on this one… but there’s something about the sheer midriff and the gold studs that really bothers me!

So what did you think of the Golden Globes fashion this year? Did any celebrity wow you?
