Now that you know which stars made my best and worst dressed list, here’s a little round-up of the biggest trends I noticed last night!

PRETTY SPARKLY!

Silver sequins and beads were all the craze last night at the Golden Globes… and the stars that went for it did well because the effect on the red carpet was beautiful!

Catherine Zeta Jones/ Thandie Newton in Giles/ Isla Fisher in Reem Acra/ Kerry Washington in Miu Miu/ Helen Hunt in Dolce & Gabbana

RED CARPET RED

Red is always a great option to make an impact, but the dress has to be be perfect! Here I love Marion and Alison’s dresses, but I’m really not crazy about Zooey and Claire’s choices. What do you think?

Marion Cotillard in Christian Dior Couture/ Zooey Deschanel in Oscar de la Renta/Alison Pill in Memeska by Gustavo Cadile/ Claire Danes in Versace

PASTEL BEAUTIES

These colours just make spring seem closer. Love it!

Jessica Alba in Oscar de la Renta/ Kelly Osbourne in Zac Posen/ Cody Horn in Vionnet/ Rosario Dawson

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE LEGS!

Angelina Jolie started it all last year… and now everybody is doing it!

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Saint Laurent/ Lea Michele in Elie Saab/ Eva Longoria in Emilio Pucci/ Heidi Klum in Alexandre Vauthier/ Katharine Mcphee in Theysken’s Theory

GORGEOUS BLACK

As in every award ceremony, a bunch of celebrities went for black… but this time, the dresses were far from boring!

Sofia Vergara in Michael Cinco/ Adele in Burberry/ Stacy Keibler in Armani Prive/ Alison Williams in J Mendel

RICH EMBROIDERY

I’m not sure if I’m crazy about this trend because we’ve seen it too much in the past year. Plus, it has a tendency to look tacky… Jennifer Lopez and Nicole Richie’s dresses are the best proof of that.

Kaley Cuoco in Zuhair Murad/ Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad/ Nicole Richie in Naeem Khan/ Sienna Miller in Erdem

PALE LACE

This had to be my least favourite trend of the night. Keep the wedding-like inspired dresses for weddings!

Amanda Seyfried in Givenchy Couture/ Megan Fox in Dolce & Gabbana/ Francesca Eastwood in Giorgio Armani

Did you notice any other trends that were worth mentioning? Let me know!
