Grammys-2014-BestDressed

Of all the music awards ceremonies, the Grammy’s is my favourite… fashion-wise. The looks are classier but  the stars still take risks! Here’s my recap of the night…

BEST DRESSED

1- Beyonce in Michael Costello

It was Beyonce’s night before it even started…and Queen B didn’t disappoint with this sheer gown by Michael Costello. I know some people said she looked like a doily but I think her body looked spectacular and so did she!

2- Chrissy Teigen in Johanna Johnson

Vavavoom! John Legend’s wife almost stole the whole show with this sequinned stunner that featured both a plunging décolleté and a high slit, without revealing too much…

3- Taylor Swift in Gucci

I was hoping to see Taylor Swift in a short dress that showed off her amazing legs, but I have to say that I’m far from being disappointed with this Gucci chain mail column dress… and the makeup is really pretty!

4- Kelly Osbourne in Badgley Mischka

We can love or hate the hair, but we have to agree on how stunning Kelly Osbourne looks in this Badgley Mischka long sleeve dress! I don’t know what I love more… the cape or the heavily embroidered shoulders?

5- Ciara in Emilio Pucci

Ciara always looks beautiful, but I’ve never seen her glowing like this… and I’m not only talking about the shiny embroidery on the Emilio Pucci custom gown!

BEST DUOS AND TRIOS

Madonna & her son David

When I learned that David chose the matching Ralph Lauren suits, I fell even more in love with the looks! I like the hats, Madonna’s silver glove and I absolutely adore David’s spectators shoes!

Grammys-2014-Best-Tuxedos

Daft Punk (Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo & Thomas Bangalter)

I guess that whatever they wear with those helmets is going to look cool… but I especially live the classic tuxedos and shiny booties!

30 Seconds to Mars (Tomo Milicevic, Shannon Leto & Jared Leto)

Even if I’m not crazy about Tomo’s look… Shannon’s gold brocade tuxedo jacket + jeans and Jared’s embroidered short blazer completely make up for it and make them one of the best dressed bands of the night.

The trend we need to discuss…. the endless trains

What do you think about theses suuuuper long trains that Colbie Caillat and Bonnie McKee wore on the red carpet last night… Beautiful or just too much?

WORST DRESSED

1- Chrisette Michele

The R&B singer thought her original pantsuit was going to make her stand out on the red carpet… and it did, but for all the wrong reasons! Not only is the fit of the pant unflattering and the colour ombré disturbing, but she also decided to wear it with nothing but a lace bra! #fail

2- Katy Perry in Valentino

Katy Perry thought it was the best idea ever… musical notes on a princess ball gown. But honestly, this has to be one of the tackiest dresses of Grammy history.

3- Katy Griffin

I know that Katy’s tv show is all about her being a « D » level celebrity in Hollywood… but she can do better than this cheap number.

4- Paula Patton in Nicolas Jebran Haute Couture

I think Paula Patton has one of the worst red carpet styles and she unfortunately didn’t change my opinion last night! I don’t know what to say about this lion meets zebra hybrid dress… other than it’s loud & ugly!

5- Paris Hilton in Haus of Milani

It’s my friend and blogger Sophie BT who described this dress best in a comment on Instagram… It looks like a figure skater costume, in a longer version!

Can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
