When I first heard that Jeremy Scott was heading to Moschino, I was thrilled about how perfect the match was. Moschino really needed an update and Jeremy Scott was ready to be at the helm of a fashion house. Both share the same irreverence and sense of humour when it comes to fashion and the designer had actually been an intern at the Italian house during his last year of college… hummm, can we call this « meant to be »? When we look at the pre-fall collection, I think we can.
I have to start with the accessories because they’re so emblematic of the collection and they’re going to SELL! If you have Moschino belts and bags, keep them because this 8 gold letters are going to be big again!
But let’s get to the main collection… Scott delivered 27 looks that respect and celebrate the DNA of the brand (I’m thinking quilted leather, red, biker jackets and gold chains) while integrating his own 90’s street vibe & a dose of irreverence. The result is a fun, sexy and wearable collection that the celebrity fans of the designer, like Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry, are going to wear and that his other followers are going to kill for!
My favourite piece of the collection is definitely this classic trench coat with a black negligee sewn on top… the ultimate proof that quirky can be SO chic!
I also love the red quilted twin-set worn with a cow print baseball cap (another future best-seller)…
… and I’m an absolute sucker for Jeremy’s gold button version of the iconic Moschino ladylike skirt suit.
Here are a few of my other favourite looks from pre-fall 2014…

I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty excited for the upcoming Milan Fashion Week!
