PeoplesChoiceAwards-2014-Best

Awards season officially began last night with the People’s Choice Awards… and I couldn’t be happier! Since my Best & Worst Dressed lists were your favourite posts in 2013, I’m going to continue with the same formula this year. Let’s begin!

BEST DRESSED

1-Jennifer Hudson in Kaufman Franco

Wow! I am completely amazed at how beautiful Jennifer Hudson looks in this Kaufman Franco number. I love the length of the dress, the super flattering cut and simply the fact that it’s white. Oh yes… the short hair is great too!

2-Adelaide Kane in Rhea Costa

I have to say I didn’t know the young actress before tonight, but I’m in love with her choice of dress! I especially love the delicate embroideries that almost look pasted to her skin, the corseted bustier and the half-sheer, half-solid skirt!

3-Jessica Alba in Jason Wu

It looks like white was the theme of the night… and in a good way! Jessica Alba also opted for a light coloured bustier dress that featured a front zip and a corseted effect. So sexy and effortless!

4-Sarah Michelle Gellar in Sachin and Babi

2013 marked Sarah Michelle Gellar’s comeback thanks to her hit TV show The Crazy Ones… and it looks like she also wants to do well on the red carpet! Once again, the length and cut of her two-toned dress are perfect and I really love that integrated chain necklace. What about you?

5-Allison Williams in David Koma

Even though I’m not crazy about the shoes, I love this David Coma cobalt blue dress on Allison Williams. The white details on the waist and neckline are interesting and show just enough skin to be chic!

WORST DRESSED

1- Melissa Joan Hart

Can somebody tell Melissa Joan Hart that the mullet dress trend is OVER… Not only is the cut unflattering, but the print is awful. When you can’t find the the designer who created the dress, it’s usually a bad sign… I should know by now!

2- Kaley Cuoco in Sachin and Babi

Kaley Cuoco has to be the worst dressed star in Hollywood right now… and she proved it again last night with this two-toned horror that she actually matched with her shoes. Yuck!

3- Anna Faris in EF Collection

This could’ve been very cool if the top wasn’t boxy & cropped and if the pants actually fit properly. To me, this just looks like a very expensive pyjama… and judging by her expression, she totally agrees with me!

4- Kat Dennings in David Meister

There’s a lot of things I don’t like about this dress… starting by the tacky shiny flower print! The bustier is also too short, which makes her neckline look immense. Couldn’t her stylist have suggested a necklace?

5- Heidi Klum in Giorgio Armani

I love Heidi Klum but force is to admit that her taste is getting worse as she ages. Silver splotches on a mermaid dress… Come on Heidi, you can do better than that! (p.s. Once again, the décolleté is too low)

So what are your thoughts? Did Award season start in good fashion? Let me know who are your personal best and worst!
