The MTV Movie Awards ceremony is known for its laid back and (very !) sexy vibe… and this year’s edition wasn’t any different. Here are my best & worst dressed of the night, plus a few other looks worth mentioning…
BEST DRESSED
1. Elizabeth Banks in Elie Saab
Elizabeth Banks was without a doubt, the best dressed of the night in this beautiful Elie Saab one-piece with graphic cut-out panels. I love that it’s sexy and sophisticated at the same time.
2. Jessica Biel in Chanel
I love the interesting silhouette of this quilted Chanel long sleeve dress, but I think I’m even more in love with the stunning bicolored Barbara Bui heels that complement the look perfectly!
3. Charlize Theron in Lanvin
Charlize can do no wrong… and she proves it once again with this simple red peplum Lanvin dress and beautiful Jimmy Choo sandals.
4. Emma Stone in Martin Grant
Emma is just n.4 because, even though I looove the architectural bustier, the flawless hair & makeup and the perfect shoes… I have to say I’m not crazy about the puffed-up skirt. What do you think?
5. Jenna Dewan Tatum in Lublow
This look could’ve easily gone wrong… but the fact that the skirt is ruffled and the top is pastel green, makes it very pretty and fresh. I would’ve gone for lighter shoes though…
I have to give a special mention to Kat Graham, who really looked beautiful in this Maria Lucia Hohan dress. Unfortunately, it’s a bit too much for the MTV Movie Awards…
WORST DRESSED
1. Brooke Hogan
As always, Hulk Hogan’s daughter looks like she’s heading out to the strip club… Yuck!
2. Amber Rose
I don’t know what it is with Amber Rose, but she always seems to get it wrong. Once again, the dress is too skimpy, too tacky and too short! And why choose such a faded lipstick?
3. Leighton Meester in Christian Cota
I know the MTV Movie Awards are laid back, but the the granny sleeveless cardigan is a no no!
4. Cristina Ricci in custom Christian Siriano
Christina Ricci looks beautiful no matter what… but I have to say I hate the draping and the shiny material of this « bridesmaid gone wrong » dress. Cannot believe this was custom-made!
5. Kristen Stewart in Guishem
Has anyone noticed how awkward Kristen Stewart always looks on a red carpet? Last night again, she seemed very uncomfortable in this futuristic disaster.
I said it before, the MTV’s are one of the sexiest award ceremonies of the year. No wonder the mini’s were all the madness last night! After Jessica, Emma, Christina and Kristen… here are a few more leg-baring numbers!
Emma Watson in Brood/Julianna Hough in Sally Lapointe/Ciara in Balmain
At the other extreme of the fashion spectrum, a few girls went for the masculine tuxedo-inspired look… and looked pretty cool!
