Time goes by so fast in New York…

I was really looking forward to my last day @ NYFW! Not only was I going to the Michael Kors show, but I also had an appointment with the MAC team backstage at Jeremy Scott… And like this wasn’t enough excitement, I was ending the week @ the Viva Glam launch party, with Nicki Minaj and Ricki Martin!!!

But first things first: Michael Kors @ Lincoln Center! I really admire Michael Kors because he gives women what they really want to wear! For fall 2012, I was hoping to see a lot of luxurious fur and thick knits & that’s exactly what I got. What I wasn’t expecting was the Canadiana feel that is perfect for our style… and weather!

I really love this tweed dress that becomes lighter and lighter as rows of chiffon fringes and feather are added to it…

I also really appreciated how the designer played with textures; mixing a silk dress with a rich wool coat or, my favourite, a thick-knit sweater with a light lace dress.

A Michael Kors show is always filled with celebrities! Last year, I had met Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones and this season I was pretty excited to bump into Mrs. George Clooney…

After MK, I was headed to EMU Australia‘s 1st ever NYFW runway show. Everybody knows the brand’s signature boots, but did you know that EMU also makes clothes? This collection was of course all about cozy knits and layering pieces, but we also got some leather shorts, sheepskin coats and beautiful touches of fur.

I really love the colour palette of this look!

I filmed the finale, so you get a real feeling of the collection.

After such luxurious cabin-in-the-wood coziness, I couldn’t wait to get to Jeremy Scott‘s crazy world. This season again, his show was presented @ MILK studios. As soon as I arrived backstage I was amazed to see all the models wearing bindis! The look MAC lead make-up artist Kabuki created had a mix of futuristic and Indian inspiration.

Even Jeremy Scott was wearing the bindis!

The hair also, made out of colourful wigs, was out of this world…

This season, Jeremy Scott was inspired by the World Wide Web for his Fall 2012 collection; computer screen captures, keyboards, emoticons… there was also a lot of 9o’s neon colours in 7o’s silhouettes.

Jeremy Scott also paid hommage to one of the most famous character of the 90’s: Bart Simpson!

And here’s the finale, so you can see ALL the looks!

Celebrity-wise, Jeremey Scott’s shows always deliver! In the space of 5 minutes, I had met Pixie Geldof, Nigel Barker, Mrs & Mr Jay, The Misshapes, Joe Jonas (!) and… Terry Richardson!!

Still completely in awe about meeting Terry Richardson, I went home to get prepared for my last event of the week: The MAC Viva Glam Launch hosted by Nicki Minaj & Ricky Martin!

I decided to wear printed leather pants I had bought at boutique Louise Péloquin and a dress (worn as a top) by my friend VFranz Bernil, who is still studying fashion but already has great skills!

A few minutes earlier Nicki Minaj and Kelly Osbourne had walked on the same pink carpet!

As you can see, the party was really happening… thanks to the help of DJ Benny Benassi!

And it got even crazier when Nicki Minaj and Ricki Martin arrived on the stage!

My highlight of the night was certainly meeting Alexander Wang, who was really shy and sweet.

So that was my New York Fashion Week! How’d you like it? What would you like to read about next time? Do let me know,  I can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
