I love the Oscar’s red carpet, but sometimes the after-parties are even better… And it was the case this year (except for Gwyneth Paltrow’s dress, of course!), so I had to post about them! Here’s my fashion round-up of Hollywood’s hottest Oscar parties…

BEST DRESSED

1. Elizabeth Banks in Chadwick Bell

I’m totally in love with this green and blue polka-dot dress ending in a feathered train. It could’ve been too much, but Elizabeth Bank’s soft make-up and classic chignon makes it look perfect!

2. Petra Nemcova in Stéphane Rolland Couture

Red dresses were one of the biggest trends of the night and Petra Nemcova was its best ambassador. This Stéphane Rolland Couture dress is sexy, and dramatic. I especially love the rectangular décolleté and that thin gold belt.

3. Victoria Beckham in Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham can do no wrong, and she proves it again with this simple but statuesque eggshell bustier dress that fits her like a glove.

4. Mia Wasikowska in Antonio Berardi

Mia Wasikowska has been making some really interesting fashion choices lately and this is another good example of that. The dress may be anthracite, but its asymmetrical floral panel really keeps it interesting.

5. Dita Von Teese in Jenny Packham

As usual, Dita Von Teese was flawless in this soft pink chiffon dress that looks amazing on her porcelain skin.

6. Cameron Diaz in Victoria Beckham

Although I wasn’t crazy about the Gucci dress she wore at the Oscars, I have to admit I love this tangerine Victoria Beckham dress. The fit is absolutely perfect on her amazing body.

There were so many good looks at the parties, that I have to add a couple of special mentions…

Kelly Osbourne in Georges Hobeika

You know I don’t like Kelly Osbourne’s grey hair, but I do love this Georges Hobeika pale yellow gown that accentuates her curves. And those embroidered flowers are so pretty!

Selena Gomez in Dolce & Gabbana

Despite her young age, Selena Gomez always knows how to dress her body. This silver embroidered gown is simply beautiful on her.

WORST DRESSED

1. Serena Williams in Christiane King

OMG! Does Serena Williams actually have a stylist? If she does, she needs to fire her, and quickly! This dress is sooo wrong for so many reasons… the lace wide straps, the unfitted bodice and that horrible poofed train; it’s simple, nothing works!

2. Miley Cirus in Roberto Cavalli

Miley, you are just 19… live a little! That’s all I have to say.

3. Gwen Stefani in Zuhair Murad

What happened to the sexy punk-rock star we knew. The dress, the shoes, even the hair… everything about this look is tacky.

4. Paula Patton in Naeem Khan

Naeem Khan… really? I’m having a hard time believing the designer actually put this silver brocade bustier and feather skirt together. And is it me, or does her breasts look like they’re having a hard time cohabitating?

5. Claire Danes in Valentino

I never thought I could dislike a Valentino dress, but I was wrong… The transparent polka dot bodice and the full skirt is simply too princessy and actually looks cheap. Sorry Mr. Valentino!

6. Kate Beckinsale in Atelier Versace

Here’s another example of how a very expensive dress can look cheap. I don’t know if it’s the mix of that stretchy jersey fabric with the transparent cut-outs or the actual print, but something just feels wrong!

Like for the main ceremony, different trends stood out at the parties. Here are the most important ones…

1. Red

Kate Upton in ?/Abbie Cornish in Tommy Hilfiger/Salma Hayek in YSL/Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Antonio Berardi/Diane Kruger in Calvin Klein

My fave: Diane Kruger

2. High slit

Zhang Ziyi in Elie Saab/Olga Kurylenko in Georges Hobeika Couture/Irina Shayk in Versace

My fave: Olga Kyrulenko

3. Transparency

Zoe Saldana in Marios Schwab/Emma Stone in Chanel Couture/Kate Bosworth in Prabal Gurung/Elizabeth Olsen in Cristian Dior

My fave: Kate Bosworth

4. Shorter hems

Anna Paquin in Emilio Pucci/Heidi Klum in Atelier Versace/Shailene Woodley in Proenza Schouler/Amy Adams in Vivienne Westwood

My fave: Amy Adams

5. Black

Felicity Jones in Johanna Johnson /Nina Dobrev in J. Mendel/Olivia Wilde in Gucci

My fave: Nina Dobrev

6. Risk takers

January Jones in Wes Gordon/Karolina Kurkova in Armani Prive/Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad Couture

My fave: Karolina Kurkova
