The red carpet season has officially begun! So that means I’ll be posting a lot of Best and Worst Dressed articles in the next few weeks! And I’ll start right away with my favourite looks from last night’s People’s Choice Awards…

BEST DRESSED

1. Taylor Swift in Ralph Lauren

Wow! I’m not usually a big fan, but Taylor Swift blew my away with this Ralph Lauren goddess dress… and those turquoise vintage-inspired earrings are just beautiful!

2. Naomi Watts in Alexander McQueen

We can always count on the Aussie actress to bring it on the red carpet, and that’s exactly what she did with this gold and black Mcqueen dress. The side-swept hair is pretty cool too!

3. Chloe Moretz in Simone Rochas

I love that Chloe Moretz illuminated the red carpet with this neon green adorable dress! This is what we call age appropriated.

4. Mae Whitman

I’m not crazy about the shoes (I would’ve chosen pointy black pumps), but this asymmetrical black dress is simply stunning on the young actress. I especially love the interesting neckline!

5. Ellen Pompeo in Lanvin

This dress reminds me of the beautiful Moroccan caftans… simple but oh so elegant!

And I have to give a special mention to Katy Perry in Valentino & Brittany Snow in Maria Lucia Hohan… who almost made the best dressed list.

BEST MEN

JD Pardo & Eddie Redmayne… Who’s your favourite?

WORST DRESSED

1. Jennifer Lawrence in Valentino

I hate to do this because I love Jennifer Lawrence, but this just looks like an 8o’s dress gone wrong! Is it really Valentino?

2. Mayra Veronica

When you do a high slit, please forget about the plunging neckline… especially when you are wearing cheap lace.

 3. Molly C Quinn

Black lace on a white lining… really? I’m out of words…

4. Emma Watson in Peter Pilotto

Even the actress is wondering why she let her stylist convince her to wear this. Emma, sometimes a look is just too edgy…

5. Julianne Hough in Tony Ward Couture

This dress could’ve been pretty… if Julianne was 7 years old!

Before I let you go, I have to finish by the stars who were just trying too hard (and there was a few!)

NICE TRY…

… but you should’ve worn higher heels! Morena Baccarin in Donna Karan Atelier.

… but the dress was made for Elle Fanning (or someone her age) Kaley Cuoco in Christian Siriano.

…but this won’t be your comeback dress! Rachael Leigh Cook in Oliver Tolentino.

So what are your thoughts on my red carpet round-up? Who is your personal best (and worst) dressed?
