Tomorrow, Raf Simons is going to present his first collection for Calvin Klein at New York Fashion Week (that you can watch live at 10 am RIGHT HERE)… and it’s definitely one of the shows I’m most excited about this season! In the last weeks, the Belgian designer has already set the tone by sharing his vision for the future of the brand. 7 days ago, Calvin Klein shared its new logo on Instagram, followed by this caption: « A return to the spirit of the original. An acknowledgement of the founder and foundations of the fashion house. »
This means acknowledging that Calvin Klein is about iconic underwear and jeans (hence the iconic Kate Moss & Mark Wahlberg 90’s ads at the top of this post), but that it’s also so much more… To prove it visually, Raf Simons launched « Calvin Klein by Appointment« . The 14 image campaign beautifully showcases how Calvin Klein goes from iconic underwear to bespoke fashion and officially opens the doors of the CK Atelier to the public (the service was previously only offered to celebrities). So, if you have the budget, you can get a made-to-measure piece + the celebrity treatment. How times change!
In case I piqued your interest, here are all the images from the campaign…
