After reading everything there was to read about the inauguration weekend, I’m wondering what was more popular: Barack Obama’s actual assermentation or the First Lady’s fashion choices… and bangs!
Personally, I think the new hairdo looks pretty good on her. Stylish, young, yet classic and elegant, but to be honest, I think there was a little too much fuss about it. Even the President joked about it… calling it the most significant event of the weekend!
But let’s get back to the fashion and have a look at everything FLOTUS (that is her name on her brand new Twitter account) wore on these last few days!
Wearing an Alexander McQueen shirt and a bejewelled belt by Anthropologie at the Kid’s Inaugural Concert
I have to say I love this simple yet stunning first look! And how pretty are Sasha and Malia?
Wearing a Reed Krakoff dress and cardigan for the President’s official swearing-in ceremony.
Wearing a Michael Kors black sequinned dress for the Presidential Inauguration Reception
Wearing a Thom Browne coat and Reed Krakoff boots for the public Presidential Inauguration
Wearing Jason Wu for the Inauguration Ball
Michelle Obama finished things off with a bang (pun intended) when she appeared on the stage with this stunning halter-neck ruby custom gown with velvet details.
I don’t know if the President had seen Michelle’s dress before she joined him on stage, but he looked very pleased with his wife’s choice. You can judge for yourself in this video of their first dance… my favourite moment of the whole weekend!
What can I say… I’m a hopeless romantic!
So, what is your favourite MO look?
