Oscars biggest moment last night was unfortunately the mix-up for Best Picture… but we had a few aaahh moments on the red carpet too! Here are our best and worst dressed + every single look you need to see from Hollywood’s biggest night…
BEST DRESSED
1- Janelle Monae in Elie Saab Couture
I know this choice isn’t going to be unanimous. Already last night, I had many mixed opinions about Janelle Monae’s very busy Elie Saab Couture dress… Yes, there’s a lot going on (and I could’ve done without the choker or the belt), but I think she looks breathtaking and actually manages to make the dress very ethereal!

2- Hailee Steinfeld in Ralph & Russo
This Ralph & Russo number was the first dress I noticed on the red carpet… I love the halter neckline, the stunning ruffles cascading in her back and the oh so pretty placement of the floral print.
3- Brie Larson in Oscar de la Renta
Brie Larson gave us another great ruffled look in one of the trendiest fabrics of the night: velvet! I love the cascading train, the interesting bustier and the perfect choice of shoes!

4- Jessica Biel in Kaufman Franco and Tiffany & Co.
When I saw Jessica Biel arriving on the red carpet. My first thought was « wow, what is that necklace and is it part of the dress? » I later found out it was by Tiffany & Co. To me, the stunning piece is the best part of this look… but she did choose the perfect dress to wear it with!

5- Emma Stone in Givenchy Couture
If I can be totally honest, I was unsure of this dress when I first saw it (maybe because I was hoping for something more like the Chanel look she wore at the Bafta’s), but once I saw it in movement during the show, I changed my mind.

Special mention: Olivia Culpo in Marchesa
I have to give a special nod to this Marchesa dress made with glass beads from Stella Artois glasses. Yup, you read well. The story behind this is a collaboration between Stella Artois, Marchesa and Water.org to bring awareness to the water crisis in the world. This is what we call beautiful fashion for a great cause!
Best dressed men: Pharrell & Mahershala Ali
I can’t choose between Pharrell (in Chanel) and Mahershala Ali (in Ermenegildo Zegna Couture) for best dressed man… What do you think?

#CoupleGoals: Jessica + Justin / Chrissy + John
So in the ongoing battle for most adorbs couple of Hollywood… who wins? Honestly, I can’t choose!

And all the other great looks…

WORST DRESSED
1-Alicia Vikander in Louis Vuitton
The main problem with this dress is really how akward it makes her look… I don’t understand the bustier, the weird shoulder sleeves and the fact that the corseted waist is lighter than the rest of the dress. Result: she looks like she has a long torso and short legs.

2- Dakota Johnson in Gucci
Dakota Johnson doesn’t only look washed out, she also looks like she’s wearing a costume with a bow apron at the waist! And the hair… was there a hairstylist strike in Hollywood?

3- Halle Berry in Versace
I was very happy to see Halle Berry back on the red carpet, but I unfortunately can’t say the same about this Versace dress… I’m not crazy about the fringed train, but what I really hate is the criss-crossed bustier.

4- Leslie Mann in Zac Posen
The colour, I actually don’t mind, but the tacky bow on the bustier and the puffy curtain effect… I can’t!

5- Salma Hayek in Alexander McQueen
Every single time I see Salma Hayek in a bad sartorial choice, I can’t help to think the same thing… she can choose any dress from some of the top Couture houses in the world, and she goes for this ??!!

Finishing with the hmmmm choices…
